Having a green policy is as important as the print itself. We have implemented one for well over ten years.
Your business can play an important part in protecting and conserving the environment in which we live today by using e-digiprint.com for your green printing. That way you’ll know that you’re doing your part for the environment. You will be reducing waste and ensuring that you’re not contributing toxins to the environment or rubbish to landfills.
All our paper is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified. They make sure that 7 trees are planted for each one felled. We use 9 Lives 100% Recycled Paper for our offset and 9 Lives 55 silk for our coated range of flyers, business cards, folders, posters, letterheads and comp slips.
There are no cost effective 100% recycled coated papers available on the market at this time. However, the coated gloss and silk paper we use and endorse have a recycled paper content of 55% and is a certified FSC Paper.

The inks we use on our digital and litho presses are soy or vegetable based rather than the standard oil based inks.
Inert water based protective coatings are used rather than polymer based for litho work.
We use low alcohol or alcohol free printing presses for litho.
All waste we produce is segregated, reused or recycled.
We are committed to doing our bit to help the environment. Most of the papers we use are FSC certified, which means that they are either recyclable, or has come from a sustainable woodland source. This is something e-digipint have always done as standard, but as we are more educated and aware, we are striving to do even more to protect our planet.
Our overnight couriers that we use to deliver our online orders are also dedicated to being a responsible business with their carbon neutral commitment.
We have made small changes that will make a big difference, by reducing the plastic that we use. We only use kraft card business card boxes, rather than the plastic boxes. We have also overhauled the way we package our products, by massively reducing packaging waste, and only using recycled paper to pack out and protect our products rather than bubble wrap.
We offer eco-friendly business cards, eco-friendly flyers and leaflets, eco-friendly greetings cards and eco-friendly letterheads. Printed on 100% recycled stock and FSC certified.
Most wide format materials are often plastic or PVC as they are most suited for outdoor use. We have looked at this to see what products we can offer that will not damage our environment, and have found some great materials! Vertex Marine as an example: this product stops single use plastics from ending up in the ocean by being used for advertising materials instead! The Envirotech® series is an environmentally friendly 100% PVC-free print media range which is free from heavy metals, phthalates, plasticisers and isocyanate-containing compounds. It has the same appearance, feel and quality as conventional PVC products together with the advantage of being lighter weight without compromising on strength or longevity.
Digital printing itself is recognised as having massive environmental benefits over other printing methods. This is because of its efficiency and low-waste. Our digital press is very efficient, meaning less CO2 is produced, and greenhouse gasses and pollutants are minimised. There is a lot less wasted paper used on a digital press. Also, our consumables that run our digital press are recycled and reused. Our Ricoh toners use 25 -35% less energy per 450g of toner and 40-50% less toner is required during printing.
We are proud of our efforts and will continue to make any changes we can.
